WALLDORF — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Agrosuper, a Chilean food company, has integrated the SAP Meat and Fish Management application by msg across its global plants to manage data in one place, help cut costs and streamline business processes.
With the increasing demand from consumers to know the origin of their food and how it was produced and processed, companies must respond by providing transparency along the end-to-end agribusiness supply chain.
The SAP application enables Agrosuper to capture real-time product inventories, accurately label and track the origin of products and record data in real time on the plant floor. As the producer of more than 1,600 meat products in the categories of pork, poultry, processed meats and salmon, the organization manages diverse processes ranging from production and labeling to the delivery of goods to customers’ tables.
With the implementation of SAP Meat and Fish Management, Agrosuper can now compile industry- and process-specific data in a central location so management can easily view all elements of the food processing chain. This enables Agrosuper to streamline day-to-day operations both to achieve the targets it sets for itself and to manage the transparency that consumers expect.
“The meat and food processing industry is comprised of multiple categories, as well as plant- and customer-specific requirements, which makes it crucial to have a centralized data source,” said Juan Enrique Rose Fischer, system manager for Agrosuper. “SAP Meat and Fish Management streamlines our data so we can make fast, accurate business decisions and spend more time focused on producing quality products for our customers.”
