ERGO Mobility Solutions Innovates the Automotive Insurance Business with SAP Software

WALLDORF SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that ERGO Mobility Solutions has selected the SAP S/4HANA Insurance solution to power a digital IT platform for the automotive insurance business.

Using SAP’s secure and open platform integration, ERGO Mobility Solutions will be able to address new mobility formats such as car sharing, car as a service or insurance on demand.

SAP S/4HANA Insurance provides ERGO Mobility Solutions with a modular encapsulated structure and a powerful product engine with predefined generic models and sets of rules. This enables a high level of independence from classic release cycles, leading to smooth integration of customer requirements and considerable efficiency gains for ERGO Mobility Solutions’ partners.

“Together with SAP, we are able to introduce a powerful IT platform that is fully tailored to the specific needs of our customers,” said Karsten Crede, chairman of the board of ERGO Mobility Solutions. “SAP is delivering a proven framework to adopt industry best practices while attaining operational excellence across the entire value chain.”

Represented in 30 countries worldwide and part of Munich Re, one of the world’s leading reinsurers and risk takers, ERGO Mobility Solutions selected SAP software to innovate the automotive insurance business. Using SAP’s state-of-the-art intelligent suite and digital platform, SAP S/4HANA Insurance unifies fragmented IT systems with a suite of integrated technologies in order to anticipate and proactively respond to customer needs.

“This project illustrates SAP’s Intelligent Enterprise strategy and how it enables new business models in automotive insurance. ERGO’s mobility solutions are bringing new value propositions to its partners and customers,” said Toni Tomic, SAP’s global head of Insurance.
